The first week of May 2026 has seen moderate to heavy rains in Uttarakhand and Himachal regions, including lower-altitude sections of these treks. At higher altitudes, fresh snowfall has been recorded on Buran Pass, Rupin Pass, and Bali Pass.
Temperatures at high passes have dropped to approximately -10°C to -15°C, especially during mornings and evenings.
Trekkers are advised to carry proper layered clothing for cold conditions. Although these are summer treks, temperatures at higher altitudes can still be negative, and mornings and evenings will remain cold.
