Trekup India extends a warm invitation to all pilgrims embarking on the sacred journey to Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand for the spiritually enriching Do Dham Yatra to Kedarnath and Badrinath Dham. Throughout your pilgrimage, immerse yourself in the divine ambiance that permeates every facet of this land, where devout worshippers, myriad temples, ceremonial rituals, and soul-stirring Aarti ceremonies abound at every turn. This yatra encompasses the exploration of two significant Dhams: Kedarnath and Badrinath, along with a visit to the quaint Mana Village. Nestled amidst the majestic Himalayan peaks, both these sacred sites undergo a seasonal closure lasting six months, owing to the harsh winter conditions that engulf the region in a pristine blanket of snow, rendering the terrain impassable. Nevertheless, the portals of both Dhams unfurl to pilgrims during the summer months, commencing from April or May, and bid farewell with the advent of winter in October or November.

Kedarnath is a preeminent holy site devoted to Lord Shiva, embodying the pinnacle of spiritual veneration. Its present-day structure, the Kedarnath Mandir, has its roots in the 8th century AD, painstakingly crafted under the guidance of Adi Shankaracharya. This hallowed sanctuary, graced by the divine presence of Lord Shiva, exemplifies unwavering devotion and stands as a testament to the enduring power of faith. Adi Shankaracharya’s inspired leadership not only revitalized the temple’s sacredness but also elevated its status to one of the 12 Jyotirlingas, radiant embodiments of Lord Shiva’s universal energy. With roots firmly planted in antiquity, the revered Kedarnath Temple has been a beacon of spiritual resonance for over 1200 years, silently witnessing the unshakable faith of devotees across the ages.

Badrinath: Nestled in the heart of nature’s splendor, Badrinath sits atop a mountainous throne, its celestial beauty reaching for the sky. The gentle Alaknanda River cradles the town, while the imposing Nar and Narayan mountain ranges form a protective barrier around it. This heavenly haven has been a beacon of spirituality since the 8th century, when the revered sage Adi Shankaracharya founded the temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The town exudes an air of divine reverence, inviting pilgrims to embark on a journey that transcends the mortal realm and enters the realm of the eternal. As they walk the sacred grounds, devotees are enveloped in an atmosphere of devotion and transcendence, connecting with the infinite.

  • Before embarking on the Yatra, it is advisable for all pilgrims to ensure they are in good health by undergoing a thorough medical check-up.
